JUNE 2021. We obtained authorization to have a direct Belgrano Cargas railroad branch at our plant. Building is already underway.
This is excellent news, not only for Paramérica but also for all its customers. It is a Belgrano line railway fork of Trenes Argentinos so that the national flag convoy can enter our Processing and Storage Plant. This branch, which is already in full execution, will allow us to carry out direct loads, thus reducing time and logistic costs.
Undoubtedly, this is a decision of great strategic value since the Belgrano line enters directly to the ports of Rosario and Retiro and is one of the main lines in the country and the continent thanks to its great influence in the Argentine northwest and neighboring countries. It has 4,800 operating kilometers, 57 locomotives and 2,551 wagons.
In this way, we add another attribute which is very competitive to our export whole service, counting among others, with Senasa (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria, National Service of Agrifood Health and Quality) and Customs Offices, and a National Institute of Industrial Technology (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial, Inti) approved scale permanently installed at the Paramérica Processing and Collection Plant. From that point the containers are sealed and approved to go directly to port.
